Liberman to Carter: "Land for peace will bring neither peace or security."

Israel Beytenu chairman Avigdo liberman met last week with former U.S President Jimmy Carter. During the meeting Liberman told the former president that his planned meeting with the heads of Hamas further the cause of terror.

 "The equation that you advance of land for peace, will bring neither peace or security." In the meeting, in which MK David Rotem was also present, Liberman explained to former President Carter his plans for peace, namely population swaps. President Carter who initally claimed that the plan amounted to transfer, changed his view when explained that the plan called for the redrawing of borders, and not the transfer of populations. The former president inquired what would be the status of arab citizens who don't live near the border areas. Liberman answered, "those who take a loyalty oath to the state, could remain."
